HISTORY
Since its inception in 1959, Wine Kitz™ (originally known as Wine Art) has been the leader in the consumer wine making industry and today is one of the world’s largest and most respected winemaking retailers. It was founded by Buzz Arthurs and established in North York on Avenue Road. After moving to a couple of different locations on Avenue Road, this original store, now one of 70 across Canada, proudly settled at 429 Wilson Ave., which is the location we currently operate (see the About Us page for more information).
The Arthurs family quickly became well respected within the community, and their roots still run deep to this day. Even though Wine Kitz has grown extensively, it still maintains that small family business feel. The founder’s sons remain active members and are an integral part of the success of this business.

We source grapes from top vineyards and wineries around the world. Then, combining traditional procedures and technical modernization with the evolution of tastes, these grapes are made into quality concentrates. At our state-of-the-art facility in Markham, Ontario, through innovative product development we create wine kits that surpass our exacting standards and which make wines displaying characteristics and taste profiles equivalent to comparable commercial wines.
